  • Date and time
    Saturday October 29th – 3.30pm-6pm.
  • Venue
La Vida – 34A Hansons Lane, Christchurch.
  • What to expect
Some 40 awards are given out at this gala event which honors and celebrates the journeys of the entrants and their PTs, family and friends.
  • What if you win
If you win an Award, big YAY, you get to come up to the podium, everyone cheers and claps lots and you will have the opportunity to say a few words, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to.
  • Seating
This year it is theater style seating, (no tables as in previous years) and we have almost double the number of seats available to us so there won’t be a problem sitting with your buddies although large groups we will still reserve areas for.
  • Dress code
Aim for glitzy and glamorous.  Use the Awards as an excuse to pull out all the stops on dressing up and getting your smiley photo poses ready for our paparazzi.
  • What happens after it
We finish at 6pm, early enough for you to go have dinner with your family and friends, PT and their other entrants.   If you’re flying solo or a small party of three or less then email info@catchfitness.co.nz and we’ll include you in a booking for 20 that we have at a local restaurant for 7 pm.
  • Party at 10pm
The search is on for Christchurch’s best dance venue!  Watch this space for where to meet at 10 pm and beyond.
  • Can’t go to the Awards
Never fear, not being there doesn’t stop you from winning.  Many entrants and trainers around the country organize their own celebrations and at 8 pm that night we announce all winners and finalists on our website.

Award Night Gifts

IMG_2367If you cross the finish line we think you’re deserving of a gift fit for a winner, even if you don’t get to stand at the podium…and who better to choose your gift, than another winner!

The gifts.
Each year entrants make, or buy a gift for another entrant.  They take the gifts to the Awards and pop it on the ‘gifts’ table.  When entrants leave they take another gift home, for themselves.

Examples of gifts .
We received appreciative emails from entrants who had received another entrant’s hand written story about their journey, a favourite recipe, photo frames, books, jewellery,  hand drawn pictures, a photo shoot and massages.  It doesn’t need to be big or expensive though, the idea is it’s about sharing something from one winner to another, new or loved and used, the more memorable and meaningful the better we reckon, but up to you and it’s totally optional if you want to play or not.

If you’re not going to the Awards?
If you are celebrating elsewhere that day, encourage others in your group to do the same i.e. bring gifts along and exchange them.  If you are not coming to the Awards or doing something with your PT then you’ll be able to fill out our gifts register at the end of the Challenge, as part of the feedback form,  and we will arrange an anonymous exchange with you.

What does crossing the finish line mean?
‘Crossing the finish line’ simply means, you have seen your PT a minimum of once a month for the duration of this 20 Week Challenge, you do a final set of fitness tests with a PT and you complete our end of Challenge feedback form.
